High Speed Rail HS2
The Government's plan is for a non-stop, high-speed railway from London to Birmingham. You can see how this will affect Denham by looking at this map. Every local authority in the area is opposed to the Government’s misguided, expensive and damaging plans. Despite this, the Government has made the appalling decision to proceed, but the Parish Council will continue to fight the scheme. The effect on Denham Green, Savay Farm, Wyatts Covert and the Colne Valley will be terrible, but the railway needs to be opposed on much broader grounds, especially the lack of an economic case. Please continue to lobby your MP before a decision is made by the government.
